Last September I was contacted by Kristy Rice from Momental Design, who is working on a book titled The Painters Wedding (due out this year I believe). She asked if I would be interested in lending my own creative talents to a styled shoot in and inspired by Yellowstone National Park! She and a group of incredible and renowned vendors were set to travel all the way out to our perfect little corner of the world for a bridal photoshoot that would emphasis the majestic beautify of our beloved national park. What emerged was a two tiered cake painted as my own abstract interpretation of the layered, jewel toned hot springs, and a set of edible sugar cookie place-cards painted with individual names, flora, and fauna.
I was fully expecting to wait for the book to come out before I could share the resulting images from this gorgeous photoshoot but as luck would have it the photos where just too fantastic to be contained, and the shoot is now a 6 page feature in Destination I Do Magazine!
People Magazine has written on online feature on Whipped and the cake table I baked and designed for Chris Klein and his lovely wife Laina Rose Thyfault!
I had so much fun working with Chris and Laina to come up with a dessert table that celebrated all their favorite flavors, and now you can see some photos from the big day!
Last January I had the pleasure of collaborating on a styled shoot for Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine. The "French Industrial" vision for the shoot came courtesy of Bash, who assembled and designed an incredible shoot with a stellar team of vendors including Fran Z Photography, Labellum Flowers, Bird Walk Press, Plonk, Theory Hair Salon, Indulgence, and MFGR Designs. It was painfully cold that day but everyone brought their game face and the resulting images are absolute magic! Getting married in Montana isn't always cowboy boots, mason jars, and burlap!
I had so much fun working with Mariah from Everything Golden on this "How-To" for Sugar and Charm! We spent an incredible afternoon laughing, connecting, and painting cookies, and you can see the fruits of that labor-of-love here>>
I wrote an article all about wedding cake trends and how to make them your own! Get your hands on a copy of Montana Bride Magazine for the full article, and a wealth of information on planning your wedding under the Big Sky.
